St. Chad’s R.C. primary School is seeking to appoint 2 phase leaders with class Teacher responsibility who will:

• maintain and continue to develop the catholic ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom

• ensure that all children make good progress within the class

 • teach a class of pupils, and ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs

 • contribute to constructive team-building amongst teaching and non-teaching staff, parents and governors

• ensure that the current national conditions of employment for schoolteachers are met

To share in the corporate responsibility for the education and well-being of all pupils in accord with the policies and procedures of the school

1. Main Tasks & Duties

1.1 Have a clear vision and commitment of Catholic education and support the Oratorian Community at St. Chads.

1.2 To be an outstanding classroom practitioner

1.3 To inspire and motivate children and colleagues

1.4 To undertake an appropriate share of the responsibilities and duties attaching to teachers within school as set out in the current School Teacher’s Pay and Conditions document & adhere to school policies under the reasonable direction of the head teacher

1.5 The post requires you to teach children in the primary age range , catering for and having particular regard to the ability and aptitude of children within the class including planning , preparation of lessons according to the educational needs of the children and marking their work

1.6 To teach within the primary age range

a committed,  enthusiastic, hardworking and highly motivated professional to the role of phase leader with class teacher responsibility. The successful candidate will be a member of our Senior Management Team and have the ability to lead on whole school initiatives.
